You open your toilet to people who urgently need one. Your city pays for that – through LooNow, every month, based on how often your toilet is actually used. You need no hardware, no installation and no investment.
This is the decisive difference to everything you have seen so far. Under a fixed monthly flat rate, the business whose toilet is used most is the one that loses – more guests mean more cleaning, but not more money. With us your fee rises with footfall. Success is rewarded, not penalised.
350 uses a month, around twelve a day. We have not glossed over the extra work: we allow a good half minute of additional cleaning time per use, at a fully loaded rate of €17 an hour, plus consumables.
Your city pays every location a fixed retainer for the opening hours you commit to, plus €0.75 for every recorded use. 80 % of that sum goes to you, 20 % stays with LooNow for operations, partner acquisition and billing.
| Uses per month | Your fee | Your extra cost | You keep | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 – quiet location | €250 | €38 | €212 | €2,544 |
| 250 | €310 | €54 | €256 | €3,072 |
| 350 – typical location | €370 | €72 | €298 | €3,576 |
| 450 | €430 | €88 | €342 | €4,104 |
| 550 – high-footfall location | €490 | €106 | €384 | €4,608 |
| 800 – hotspot, capped | €520 | €148 | €372 | €4,464 |
Example calculation for category B (open 40–59 hours), fee after our share. Longer opening hours mean a higher retainer: category A from 60 hours pays €300 instead of €200. For step-free access your city adds €80 a month, for regular early or late hours before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m. another €60 – of both, as everywhere, 80 % goes to you. A cap applies from 600 uses; the last row deliberately shows that beyond it you are worse off as footfall keeps rising. That is exactly why we move you up a category at that point, or bring a second operations partner into the neighbourhood.
We built the model so that it goes unnoticed in day-to-day business. If it costs your team noticeable time, we are doing something wrong.
The guest scans the QR code displayed on your premises with their phone and redeems their LooNow pass. All you do is show them where the code is and where the toilet is – no device, no terminal, nothing to type in on your side. That is it.
You decide the hours when your toilet is available – as a rule simply your normal opening hours. They determine your category and therefore your retainer.
You get the LooNow operations partner sticker for your window and the sheet with your QR code for inside. The sticker tells passers-by that you take part, the code is what the guest scans – and in the app you appear as a premium location.
There is no minimum size and no restriction by sector. What counts: a location people can reach, a well-kept toilet and reliable opening hours.
We want to be honest about this, because others like to make big promises at exactly this point.
If ten out of a hundred people who use your toilet take something with them – a water, a coffee, an item – that is around €47 of additional gross profit at 350 uses a month. Nice, but not a business model.
That your revenue will explode. What you can rely on is the fee of €250 to €480 a month. Anything on top is a pleasant side effect – and we have deliberately left it out of every calculation on this page.
That the sticker in the window and the premium pin in the app make you visible – including to people who would otherwise never have set foot in your business. It is plausible; hard numbers will only come from the first locations, and until then we present it as a hunch.
Through the contact form below. We check whether your city is already a LooNow Partner City or on the way to becoming one. Only then can a fee be paid – and we tell you that straight away, not after three meetings.
A short appointment on site: we look at the location, the toilet and the access, and you tell us your opening hours. That gives us your category and therefore your retainer. Takes about 20 minutes.
A two-page contract, no hidden clauses. After that a short briefing with your team so everyone knows where the QR code is and what a guest will ask for – no more training is needed.
Sticker in the window, QR code in place, activation as a premium location in the app. From that day every use counts towards your fee.
At the end of the month your operations partner area shows exactly how often your toilet was used and what follows from that. We invoice your city, and as soon as it has paid, your share goes to you automatically – you never have to write an invoice. Municipalities usually pay within 30 days, so expect around two months between the month of service and the money arriving. You can see the status in your area at any time.
If usage stays above what you are willing to carry, we move you up a category or bring a second operations partner into the neighbourhood. You have a say in that.
No joining fee, no monthly fee, no commission on your own revenue. The money flows in one direction only: towards you. Your city funds it.
Anyone who misbehaves does not have to be let in. You decide that, exactly as with any other guest. We are an intermediary, not your boss.
Only the scan turns a visit into a recorded use, and it is tied to a user account. Every use therefore has a record – that protects you and makes the billing auditable.
If it does not work for you, tell us. We do not want operations partners who feel trapped – your guests notice that immediately.
No turnstile, no door opener, no terminal, no installation. Your QR code is a printout; the scanning happens on the guest's phone.
From your city. Municipalities already spend considerable sums on their own public toilets – around €49,667 per facility per year in fully loaded costs. Instead of building new ones, a city can use LooNow to bring existing toilets like yours into public provision. It saves substantially, you earn on the side. 80 % of the fee goes to you, 20 % stays with us for the platform, partner acquisition, quality assurance and billing.
Then we cannot yet offer you a fee under this model – get in touch anyway. When we can show a city that interested businesses already exist locally, an abstract proposal turns into a concrete offer. Independently of that there is the LooNow pass, where users pay for their own access and you get a share of every redemption; we discuss those terms in person.
Yes, that is the point. That is exactly what you are paid for. The difference to today: these people already ask you – and you either say yes unpaid or an awkward no. From now on you say yes and get paid for it.
Do the maths yourself: at 350 uses a month we allow a good half minute of extra work per use, so around three and a half hours a month. At a fully loaded rate of €17 an hour that is about €60, plus around €12 of consumables. Against that stands a fee of €370, leaving around €298. If your actual effort is higher, tell us – we want to test this assumption with real figures from real businesses, not at a desk.
Every use is linked to an account, so there is a record and someone to contact. That is a marked difference to an anonymous request at the counter. We clarify the details of liability at the on-site appointment – and there we tell you honestly what is covered and what is not.
You enter the dates in your operations partner area in advance and the location is out of the billing for those days. That is not a breach of contract and has no consequences for working with us – there is simply no fee for those days, and your city does not pay one either. The only thing that matters is entering it in advance: for a month that has already been billed it is no longer possible.
No. Billing runs automatically through us. We invoice your city monthly; your share is paid out as soon as the city has paid. Because municipalities usually pay within 30 days, there are normally around two months between your month of service and the money arriving. We would rather say that up front than afterwards. Your operations partner area shows the usage figures, the resulting amount and the status of the invoice at any time – traceable for your bookkeeping.
That depends heavily on location and opening hours. For orientation: municipal facilities in busy locations see 30 to 169 uses a day. An operations partner is well below that; we calculate with around twelve a day. Honestly, that is an assumption, not a measurement – hard numbers will only come from the first locations. What we can firmly promise is the retainer; everything above it grows with actual use.
Three things: the fee rises with use instead of staying flat. Every use is recorded, so you never have to estimate or report anything. And people find you on a map with opening hours, ratings and accessibility information instead of via a sticker you only see once you are standing in front of it.
Write us a line about where you are and what you do. We reply within two working days and tell you honestly whether and when this is worth it for you.
